Associate Professor Van-Phuc Hoang

Assoc. Prof. Van-Phuc Hoang was born in Hung Yen, Vietnam. After completing undergraduate and master programs in Vietnam, he was awarded the MEXT scholarship (by Japanese government) for a PhD course in Japan from 2009. In September 2012, he received PhD degree in Electronic Engineering from The University of Electro-Communications, Tokyo (UEC-Tokyo), Japan.

He is currently working as Deputy Head of Department of Microelectronics & Microprocessing and Head of Microelectronics Laboratory, Le Quy Don Technical University (LQDTU) or "Trường Đại học Kỹ thuật Lê Quý Đôn" (in Vietnamese), Hanoi, Vietnam.

RESEARCH INTERESTS:

Assoc. Prof. Van-Phuc Hoang's interest covers a broad range of emerging technologies related to Hardware cybersecurity, Internet of Things (IoT), Integrated Circuits (IC) and Systems as follows:

    • Hardware cybersecurity (Hardware Trojan, PUF)
    • Low power, high speed (FPGA and/or ASIC-based) cryptography hardware implementation>
    • Embedded system design for Internet of Things (IoT), wireless sensor networks (WSN) and wireless body area networks (WBAN)
    • Digital VLSI/ASIC design and FPGA-based system hardware design
    • Arithmetic hardware and VLSI architecture for digital signal processing (DSP)
    • Analog and Mixed-signal IC design
